Description:
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. James 3:17
This 7-hour video series was designed and presented live in 2024 to help biblical counselors gain godly wisdom and practical skills to help young counselees and their families to grow together in Christlikeness as they face challenges, trials, suffering, and sin in our broken world. The training is geared towards helping Third-Culture Kids and families who have the added layers of many transitions and multiple cultural contexts. However, the solid biblical theology, wisdom, and practical skills will help you minister to any child and parents in our ever more complex world.
Speakers Dr. Matt Jones, Dr. Grace Lee, Dr. Julie Lowe, and Dr. Ingrid Woodbridge interact with our BCMW Missionary Soul Care Network through their excellent presentations, the personal testimonies of young adult missionary kids, parents, and missionary youth leaders, and lively Q/A sessions. We trust you will come away more confident, informed, encouraged and likely humbled by this experience!
In addition to watching the 5 videos, you will be required to read 2 of the following 3 recommended books in order to receive Continuing Education Credit from ACBC:
Caring for the Souls of Children, Editor: Amy Baker
Building Bridges, Author: Julie Lowe
MKs in Focus: Thinking Biblically About the MK Experience, Author: Matt Jones
